Joakim Andersson is the POWERFEST Super High Roller champion! The Malta-based Swedish star topped a star-studded field of 64 entries in the $25,500 buy-in event and passed his bankroll with a cool $480,081 score.

Heads-up was set when the dangerous Nemeth fell by the wayside in third place, a finish good for a $194,592 haul. Nemeth came unstuck during the 25,000/50,000/6,250a level. Leikkoner shoved from the small blind with , and Nemeth snapped called off his 750,172 stack with . Leikkoner’s aggression was rewarded with a king on the flop of the board.
Andersson held a 4,649,480 to 1,750,520 chip lead over Leikkoner going into heads-up and it proved to be a gap too far to bridge for the latter.
The final hand of the Super High Roller started with a limp on the button with by Leikkoner, a raise to 180,000 from Andersson with , and a raise to 480,000 by Leikkoner, which Andersson called. The flop fell and both players checked. The turn saw Andersson check, Leikkoner fire a 292,500 bet, and Andersson call. This led to the river completing the board. Andersson checked, which opened the door for Leikkoner to push all-in for 1,325,370 into the 1,560,000 pot. Andersson did not believe his opponent’s story, and made the call.
Anderson collected an impressive $480,081, while Leikkoner walked away with a $299,400 consolation prize.
