An all-star cast of gaming streamers and poker players set to lock horns at partypoker in The Big Deal.
The Big Deal is a special freeroll tournament taking place online at partypoker from 17:00 GMT on Saturday 14 November. The event will be long remembered for bringing together some of the biggest names in eSports and poker as they battle for a share of the $50,000 prize pool offered by partypoker.
Team partypoker members Jeff Gross, Jaime Staples, and Matthew Staples are ready to show the eSports streamers what they’re made of. The likes of Benjamin Rolle will also be representing the poker players.
A host of gaming streamers are hoping to cause an upset and bring home the title for the video game fans. Look out for Dota 2 players Troels “SynderN” Nielsen and Ted J. “Pyrionflex” Forsyth at the partypoker tables. Strategy game streamer “Quill18” is also set to play, as is Jeffrey “SjoW” Brusi, a former poker pro who became known for his exceptional StarCraft II prowess.
All the streamers will be grinding the tournament on their own streams, supported by the awesome eSports production company Beyond the Summit. It’s going to be cool to tune in and listen to all the players’ hand analysis and the trash talk between them all.
The Big Deal Is About More Than Prize Money
There’s more than $50,000 in prize money and bragging rights to play for in The Big Deal. Players need to be knocked out of the tournament three times before being fully eliminated. Whoever knocks a player out for the third and final time has their stream “raided” by the busted player’s fans!
Raids are popular in the streaming community. They see viewers flock to another channel when the stream they’ve been following ends. This gives the raided channel a boost in viewers meaning the two players who reach heads-up are likely to bring in huge viewing figures!
Beyond the Summit is providing content for partypokerTV, our official Twitch channel, throughout The Big Deal. Expect to see feature tables involving key players, plus plenty of highlights from big bluffs to sick, cooler hands. All the feeds are played with card-up coverage so you can immerse yourself deeper in the action.
Maria Ho and Joey Ingram are on hand to commentate on the final table’s action. They’ll provide expert analysis from the Beyond the Summit Studio all the way over in Los Angeles, a monster-sized venue sprawling 20,000 square feet and one famous around the world for hosting Dota 2 events.
Vadim Soloveychik, the Marketing Director for partypoker, is just one of an army of poker fans looking forward to tuning into the action on November 14.
“We are excited to host The Big Deal. This is a new format designed for Twitch where streamers compete not only for the prize pool but also for their audiences as a bounty. I am sure it will be fun to watch.”
